Winner of a Grammy Award in 2006 for her entire career, the Mayor of Pasadena in California declared September 22nd the \u201cJessye Norman Day\u201d. Known for her voice but also for her amazing presence and sparkle, we all remember Jessye Norman wrapped in the French flag singing La Marseillaise a capella in front of a hundred thousand people.
