The IFL, in partnership with Skeyes Center, presents the newest conference in their series of “Rendez-vous m\u00e9dias de l’Institut fran\u00e7ais du Liban” entitled “Entertainment and Political Programs: A Troubled Marriage?” The lecture will be co-moderated by guest of honor, French journalist Audrey Pulvar, one of the key representatives of the public sector in France.<\/p>\n
Can one be a political representative and public sector journalist at the same time? What’s the relation between the media and the government in France today? How do you hold a successful political interview? How do you broach the topic of politics in entertainment programs?
In an attempt to answer these questions, Gis\u00e8le Khoury, chairman of the Samir Kassir Foundation, will moderate the conference as well as the debate with a number of local, French, and foreign journalists.
The meeting will also allow Audrey Pulvar to share her trade’s secrets.<\/p>\n
About Audrey Pulvar<\/b><\/p>\n
Audrey Pulvar left her natal Martinique to study Economics and went on to graduate top of her class in 1994 from the School of Journalism in Paris. She started her professional career at Antille Television before joining LCI and TV5 on a freelance basis in 2002. While maintaining her position in those companies, she also anchored at France 3 presenting a show in Marseille. In 2004, she moved to the capital where she met Louis Laforge. From 2005 to 2009, she became the head figure of the national 19-20. She’s awarded with the “troph\u00e9e des femmes en or” award in 2008. In 2009, she’s assigned as editor in chief at I>t\u00e9l\u00e9, where she also presents a segment everyday from 6pm til 8pm, and co-hosts “17h politique”. In 2010, she starts anchoring at France Inter during the 6pm-7pm segment, and hosts “On n’est pas couch\u00e9” on France 2. This month, she’s once again the talk of the town, as she is asked to leave France Inter and warned of holding any political interviews on France 2, due to the election of new president Fran\u00e7ois Hollande.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
