The Embassy of Spain in Lebanon and the Cervantes Institute of Beirut in collaboration with the Metropolis Association and the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela and the consulates of El Salvador, Portugal and Peru, are pleased to present the 4th edition of the Ibero-American Film Festival under the theme, “Otras Miradas,” or “Other Views.”<\/p>\n
This new edition will be held between October 31 November 8 with a broad selection of 11 feature films expressing the cultural identities of the Ibero-American world.<\/p>\n
It will open with the Spanish film “Mientras Duermes” (2011), which won six Gaudi Awards. The main actor, Luis Toscar, was nominated at the Goya Awards for Best Actor in 2012.<\/p>\n
Several nominated and award winning films will also be screened such as, the Argentinean film, “D\u00edas De Vinilo” (2012) winner of the special jury award in the Festival of Malaga in 2013; the Mexican film, “A\u00f1os despu\u00e9s” (2011) which won the Filmeweb award for Best Actress and Best Film in 2012; the Colombian film, “El Amor en los Tiempos del Col\u00e9ra” (2007) which was nominated at the Golden Globes for Best Song; the Uruguayan film “Artigas la Redota” (2011) which won the prize for Best Film in the Gramado Film Festival and the Peruvian film Mariposa Negra, which won the prize for Best Actress at the Biarritz International Festival of Latin American Cinema (2006) and which was a;so nominated for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film at the Goya Awards.<\/p>\n
All films are in their original language with English subtitles <\/p>\n
