Under the high patronage of the First Lady of Lebanon, Mrs. Wafaa Michel Sleiman, ‘Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group’ and ‘Al-Hasnaa Magazine’ are organizing the 2nd ‘New Arab Woman Forum’ (NAWF 2008). This year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the International Women\u2019s Day in Copenhagen in 1910 \u201cto promote women\u2019s rights and build support for universal suffrage\u201d. Women in the West have come a long way since then, from struggling for the right to vote to assuming leadership positions in government, society, culture and the arts, sports, and every other walk of life. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
