The monkey fish approach is a hybrid technique that combines the powerful ground based movements of the monkey and the agility and fluidity of a fish in water. The participants will focus on a freeing dance that is based on developing instinctive movement, and that is also highly challenging to perform; making it the ideal technique to develop all the skills of a good dancer including strength, agility, speed and grounding.<\/p>\n

The workshop is part of the \u201cTheatre as Politics Beyond Discourse\u201d series, a one-week forum engaging theater artists to reflect on pressing social and political issues. The forum aims to develop critical thinking around theater practice and its vital role in seizing and expressing political momentum without falling into the traps of political opportunism. <\/p>\n
