Since the eruption of the conflict in Syria, many Syrians have chosen arts as a channel to express their feelings, after forty years of oppression and four years of war. The works of Syrian artists are a reflection of history, of suffering, of doubts but they also carry a glimpse of hope and an opportunity to live, for a moment, in a different, more peaceful environment. The panel will highlight remarkable Syrian artistic experiences and discuss the importance of arts and culture at times of war.<\/p>\n
