\u00abGood bye Schl\u00f6ndorff\u00bb is a 50-minute audiovisual performance which combines intimate letters discovered on the audio tapes, musical compositions and acidic melodies with short sequences from the film \u201cCircle of Deceit\u201d directed by Volker Schl\u00f6ndorff. The viewer watches a journey through the universe of the 80\u2019s in Lebanon. That is how reality which is represented by the intimate letters merges with Schl\u00f6ndorff\u2019s fiction. Each and every word and image is thus carefully uprooted from its original context and transplanted into the musicians\u2019 imagination. We are watching here a sound and visual surgical procedure in which Wael Koudaih (at the machines), and Yann Pittard (at Oud) keeps deconstructing and reconstructing each and every moment of that terrible time.<\/p>\n
