Seachd is the first feature film made entirely in Scottish Gaelic, the indigenous language of Scotland. When a young man, Angus, visits his dying Grandfather in hospital he cannot hold back his boyhood quest for the truth \u2013 the truth behind the death of his parents and the truth behind his Grandfather\u2019s ancient, incredible, fearful stories. Scotland has an incredibly rich and diverse oral storytelling heritage, and this film explores them to the full. There are stories from the whole swathe of Gaelic history of poisoned lovers, bloody revenge, water-horses and Spanish gold. The stories form the basis of Angus\u2019 life, and his Grandfather hijacks Angus\u2019s life one last time, leading him to one of Scotland\u2019s most treacherous mountains, The Inaccessible Pinnacle, and an ancient truth he never expected to find.<\/p>\n
