Sima

Sima’s eighteen, she’s been singing for 7 years, and writing music for 5 years. Some of her music is mellow, some is heavy. Mainly in\ufb02uenced by folk, rock and alternative, and some jazz; both old and new. Describing her lyrical fashion in one word, she’d call it \u201cpsychological\u201d. Her performance experience in itself is minimal, however her musical experience is quite the opposite.<\/p>\n

Zeid and the Wings
10:00 pm – 11:15 pm<\/p>\n

It started with a Facebook announcement from Zeid Hamdan at the beginning of 2010 : \u201cBacking vocals needed, call 012345678.\u201c Two month later Yasmeen Ayyashi and Sarah Barrage start rehearsing and harmonizing on Zeid\u2019s intimate repertoire of Arabic and English songs, joined later by Gihane el Hage, third vocalist, and \ufb01nally by Marc Codsi on guitar, drum machine and synth.
They are currently performing monthly in Beirut s underground venues. They have released already a self title EP and should release an album in May 2011.The music is a blend of Arabic folk, reggae , rock and electro songs.<\/p>\n

The Kordz have risen to the pinnacle of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean rock scene after years of constant gigging, perseverance and overcoming obstacles. The Kordz were known across Lebanon as the hardest working band around, as their high energy gigs drew an ever increasing throng of fans and increasingly high pro\ufb01le gigs, including opening for the likes of international Alt-Rock band Placebo and the legendary Robert Plant. Never a band to follow musical trends, The Kordz have instead been at the forefront of the emergence of Middle Eastern alt-rock and metal, effortlessly blending together guitar riff-driven rock with incredibly funky grooves and Arabic.<\/p>\n
