{"id":25804,"date":"2013-06-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/25804\/bishop-gets-busy-on-smart-phone-snoozes-during-mass"},"modified":"2023-08-11T03:06:42","modified_gmt":"2023-08-11T03:06:42","slug":"bishop-gets-busy-on-smart-phone-snoozes-during-mass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/en\/25804\/bishop-gets-busy-on-smart-phone-snoozes-during-mass\/","title":{"rendered":"Bishop Gets Busy on Smart Phone, Snoozes During Mass"},"content":{"rendered":"On Sunday, a nearly two hour mass was held to celebrate the reconstruction of Basilica Harissa (the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon) by Patriarch Bechara Al-Rai. <br \/>  <br \/>  Lebanese President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam were both in attendance, but it was Bishop Georges Abi Younes (a Lebanese church leader who is stationed in Mexico, Venezuela and Central America) who managed to capture the media&#8217;s attention after he was caught taking pics of Rai during the sermon with his smart phone. a comatose state.<br \/>  <br \/>  Towards the end of the sermon, you can see him openly fighting to keep one eye open, but as anyone who&#8217;s tried to sit through two hours of religious
