Not to worry, we&#8217;ve got you covered. Here&#8217;s a recap of five noteworthy things that went down in Lebanon over the past week.<\/p>\n<p>  <b>1. This woman may or may not be banned from coming to Lebanon<\/b><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/28586-1.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  (<i>Photo via <a href=\"https:\/\/db2.stb.s-msn.com\/i\/28\/5BD74E1A7EFF29B62820C86C5CA.jpg\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">msn.com<\/a><\/i>)<\/p>\n<p>  The head of the Catholic Media Center in Lebanon released a statement this week urging officials to ban Ania Lisewska, a Polish woman who has publicly challenged herself to sleep with 100,000 men from around the world, from entering this country. Lisewka has already been banned from entering Jordan and Egypt. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.com.lb\/News\/Lebanon-News\/2013\/Sep-26\/232562-lebanon-unsure-on-world-sex-tour-womans-visa.ashx#axzz2g4cusQgM\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Daily Star<\/i><\/a> newspaper, General Security still hasn&#8217;t received a visa application from Lisewska requesting entrance into the country, but officials will decide on the matter when and if they receive a request.<\/p>\n<p>  <b>2. Lebanon earns spot on list of &#8216;Cities That Will Shake Up Art World in the 21st Century&#8217;<\/b><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/28436-5-250x166.png\" width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/09\/19\/art-cities-of-the-future_n_3949998.html<br \/>  &#8221; target=&#8221;_new&#8221;><i>Huffington Post<\/i><\/a>, a book titled, <i>Art Cities of the Future<\/i> has named Lebanon among its profiling of influential places for art across the globe. The 336-page book selected cities according to their impact on contemporary art, their history of artistic importance and overall cultural climate.  <\/p>\n<p>  <b>3. Police to reopen case of Amne Ismael<\/b><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/27100-scaled.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  (<i>Photo via <a href=\"https:\/\/lunasafwan.wordpress.com\/2013\/07\/30\/%D8%A2%D9%85%D9%86%D8%A9-%D8%A5%D8%B3%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%B9%D9%8A%D9%84-%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B2%D9%88%D8%AC-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B0%D9%8A-%D9%88%D8%AB%D9%91%D9%82-%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B2\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Luna Sawfan<\/a><\/i>).<\/p>\n<p>  According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.com.lb\/News\/Lebanon-News\/2013\/Sep-26\/232671-police-to-reopen-investigation-into-wifes-filmed-death.ashx#axzz2fzrNckZn\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Daily Star<\/i><\/a> newspaper, Judge Randa Yakzan asked police this week to reopen the investigation into the death of Amne Ismael, the woman filmed leaping to her death from the 8th floor of the Ramlet el-Bayda apartment she shared with her husband. Ismael&#8217;s family believes the husband is involved in her suicide.<\/p>\n<p>  <b>4. Counterfeit notes worth $900,000 confiscated in Nabatieh<\/b><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/28586-250x113.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  (<i>Photo via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/images_blogs\/business\/2011\/07\/counterfeit_money.gif\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">wired.com<\/a><\/i>)<\/p>\n<p>  According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naharnet.com\/stories\/en\/99705-counterfeit-notes-worth-usd-900-000-confiscated-in-nabatieh\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Naharnet<\/i><\/a>, police raided a counterfeit currency operation in Nabatieh this week and arrested its owner, identified as M.J. Hoballah. Counterfeit notes estimated at $900,000 were confiscated along with the instruments used to forge the fake money.<\/p>\n<p>  <b>5. Hamra restaurant Bedivere&#8217;s phone policy becomes a global Internet sensation<\/b><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/28586.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <i>(Photo via Gawker.com)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>  Bedivere&#8217;s name went viral over the last week, earning recognition on popular websites like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/robinedds\/this-restaurant-has-the-most-amazing-policy\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Buzzfeed<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/09\/23\/restaurant-reduce-phubbin_n_3977546.html?ir=Good+News\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Huffington Post<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gawker.com\/restaurant-offers-discount-for-ditching-phone-during-me-1377161401\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Gawker<\/a> after a redditor took a photo of Bedivere\u2019s phone policy and posted it on the user-driven-content site.<\/p>\n<p>  The policy? Bedivere will give you a 10% discount off your bill if you leave your phone with the bartender. I think we can all drink to that.
