Either way, getting a proper internet connection set up for your home or office can be a tricky matter, with various internet service providers (ISPs) to choose from, and all kinds of packages on offer.<\/p>\n

Here is a helpful guide of Lebanon\u2019s main ISPs and the packages they offer that should make the process of getting connected a whole lot easier.<\/p>\n

Internet Service Provider: IDM<\/big><\/big><\/b>
Established in 1995, IDM<\/a> is regarded as being among the pioneers in bringing the digital universe to the country, and offers a wide variety of services and packages for every kind of consumer.

1. ADSL<\/b><\/big><\/p>\n

Low end cost: 4 GB for $16 per month (1 Mbps download speed)
High end cost: 30 GB for $110 per month (6 to 8 Mbps download speed)<\/p>\n

OGERO<\/a> (Organisme de Gestion et d’Exploitation de l’ex Radio Orient) was established in 1972. Today it is owned entirely by the government and acts under the supervision of the Minister of Telecommunication.

Established in 1968, SODETEL<\/a> (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de D\u00e9veloppement des T\u00e9l\u00e9communications du Liban s.a.l.) is the oldest telecom operator in Lebanon and has operated and maintained the first submarine cable in the Middle East, linking Beirut to France and allowing the transit of international communications.
