Armed &#8220;Vigilantes&#8221; Break into Syrian Homes<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35178.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebanese-forces.com\/2014\/08\/04\/amal-armed-in-beirut\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Lebanese Forces<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  Gunmen belonging to the Amal party <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebanese-forces.com\/2014\/08\/04\/amal-armed-in-beirut\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">were spotted<\/a> breaking into Syrian homes in Msaytbeh and Mar Elias in broad daylight this week. The gunmen, acting as self-dubbed vigilantes, are allegedly aiming to &#8220;help&#8221; the Lebanese Armed Forces by seeking out &#8220;terrorists&#8221;&#8230; their own way.<br \/>   <br \/>  <b><big><big>2. Saad Hariri Returns to Lebanon in Surprise Visit <\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"344\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CFsazGIOPqs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>  <br \/>  <br \/>  After being in self-imposed exile for three years, Saad Hariri <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljadeed.tv\/MenuAr\/news\/DetailNews\/DetailNews.html?id=134240#!prettyPhoto\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">returned to Lebanon<\/a> on Friday. The former prime minister told the press that he&#8217;ll be looking over the $1 billion in Saudi aid to the Lebanese army, and as for his personal safety, Hariri said: &#8220;May Allah protect everyone&#8221;.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>3. Education Minister: Everyone To Pass Final Exams<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35178-1.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.annahar.com\/article\/125643-%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%88%D8%B5%D8%B9%D8%A8-%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D9%84%D9%86-%D9%8A%D8%A8%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%85\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Annahar<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  The Lebanese education system has finally hit rock bottom. The last time the government let everyone pass their final exams was during the war in 1975. But Education Minister Elias Bou Saab says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.annahar.com\/article\/125643-%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%88%D8%B5%D8%B9%D8%A8-%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D9%84%D9%86-%D9%8A%D8%A8%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%84%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%85\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">he will let all students who took the exam receive a certificate<\/a>.  The minister said his decision came after the UCC&#8217;s continued boycott to grade the exams until Parliament passes a new salary scale for teachers.<br \/>  <br \/>  Bou Saab said he would suspend his decision for 48 hours upon the request of UCC representatives.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>4. The damages left however are remarkable, and need immediate attention by the government.
