It is a great place to live because it never gets boring; there are always new and exciting places to try in this tiny but vibrant country. However, despite being an endless chain of restaurants, shopping centers, and places where malls go to die (that&#8217;s what it feels like anyway), Lebanon has its shortcomings. Some days it seems like the only things to do in Lebanon are eat and drink. We are missing out on some seriously fun activities, like:<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>Dog Parks<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35270.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestonspeaks.com\/2012\/10\/11\/nashville-warner-dog-park\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Preston Speaks<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  I\u2019m going to be a biased dog-lover and place this at the top of the list. We need a green space for our dogs to walk peacefully and play in an open area without the fear they might be run over by a car! If you\u2019re having a bad day, you can stop by and pet a bunch of fat pugs \u2013 what could be better?<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>Decent Public Pools\/Beaches<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35270-1.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lovepentwater.com\/pentwater-beaches.html\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Love Pent Water<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  There ought to be a decent and free alternative to the private beaches in Lebanon. The keyword here is decent. The public beaches in Lebanon are poorly maintained and not family-friendly at all. Having a free beach is essential because going to the beach shouldn\u2019t be a privilege just for a specific economic class. We can keep our swanky pools and beach clubs, but we need to provide a free and safe alternative.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>Decent Public Libraries<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35270-2.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilovelibraries.org\/shelf-shelf\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">I Love Libraries<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  I was surprised to find out that we actually have a public library somewhere in Monot, but after some investigation I found out that it is not very well stocked or managed. We need a proper public library where students and non-students can go to study, read, and do internet research. I mostly want this so I can stop receiving death stares anytime I converse louder than a whisper in a caf\u00e9. <br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>A Zoo and Aquarium<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/35270-3.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/popcultureblog.dallasnews.com\/2012\/12\/deal-of-the-week-penguin-days-at-the-dallas-zoo.html\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Pop Culture Blog<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  It would be great to have a zoo that is properly equipped to take care of animals. The zoos I\u2019ve seen here are more like caged circuses and the animals are often confined in spaces that are too small. We could also benefit from having an aquarium; it is a great place for marine-life lovers and would provide an educational experience for children. <br \/>  <br \/>  But most importantly, we need to not  have *another* mall. Whatever you do, whatever you decide to invest in, please \u2013 no more malls. <br \/>      <figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
