Only the smartest, most hardworking students will survive.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/study\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Tumblr<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  Only people who&#8217;s sole purpose in life is to study will pass classes at LU. The professors are tough, so you&#8217;ve got to be even tougher to succeed.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>2. Passing the entrance exam is a lifetime achievement.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-1.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/bellavitabella.wordpress.com\/page\/5\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Bella Vitabella<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  Passing the entrance exam is a serious accomplishment. It\u2019s actually better than passing the \u2018terminale\u2019 official exams. Cue the fireworks, and pass out the be2lewa; this is cause for a celebration.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>3. Finding the right classroom is an adventure.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-2.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Dickinson_College_18_College_classroom.jpg\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">WickiMedia<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  In some faculties, students actually have to search for an empty classroom to conduct sessions with the professor. The schedule only mentions periods, so the students have to find a classroom and inform the professor of where it&#8217;s happening. One day he\u2019ll teach on the first floor &#8211; room 106, and the next day it&#8217;s on the 3rd floor &#8211; room 315. Needless to say, every day is an adventure.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>4. We want and don\u2019t want student elections.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-3.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.com.lb\/News\/Lebanon-News\/2013\/Nov-21\/238493-usj-student-elections-make-no-attempt-to-disguise-political-parties.ashx#axzz3FXh8Ogrf\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Star<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  We envy the fuss other universities have over student elections. Administration at LU cancelled elections in 2008 after an incident involving a knife in the Faculty of Science. Most LU students now want the elections back, while some students are glad they&#8217;re gone out of fear of political disputes and similar incidents. It&#8217;s a mixed bag of tricks you see.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>5. The libraries are haunted.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-4.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/mrandrewmurray\/5826411174\/?rb=1\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Flickr<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  They&#8217;re huge, and hold vast collections of books and encyclopedias, but there&#8217;s something undeniably spooky about these literary haunts.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>6. Student ID cards take forever to be distributed.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-5.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickmeme.com\/meme\/3ry5ql\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Quick Meme<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  Every year I wait for my ID card, and every year around Christmas I actually get it.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>7. Surprise! You wake up early after studying all night for your exam, and you go anxiously to take it, only to find out that, SURPRISE, it&#8217;s not happening today.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>8. Breaks?! We don\u2019t have those.<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/36304-7.png\"><br \/>  (Image via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickmeme.com\/meme\/3ulec8\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Quick Meme<\/a>)<br \/>  <br \/>  While students at private universities enjoy winter break, spring break, or a break after finals week, LU students finish exams on Friday and return for the start of the second semester on\u2026 wait for it&#8230; MONDAY! Yes, we only rest for a weekend after finals.<br \/>  <br \/>  <b><big><big>9.
