On those drunken weekend nights \u2013 or lets be honest, here in Beirut we drink every night \u2013 there is one place that we all think of eating when we start to feel the booze in Mar Mikhael: Crew Hut. Seriously, how is this tiny eatery the best f*cking place to eat in Beirut?

With its gourmet sandwiches combining things like sundried figs, walnuts, sun dried tomatoes, herbs and fancy cheeses all served on freshly baked perfectly crispy French baguettes, the concept is every drunk person\u2019s dream. My personal recommendation: try the Brie Pear. I\u2019m not exactly sure what Brie is, but when you combine it with pear, sundried tomatoes, rocca, and walnuts, well, yum.<\/big>

Let’s also talk about the pasta. Yep, that\u2019s right, they do pasta too. And for lack of a more accurate word, let\u2019s just call it amazing. Serving pasta in a cup may not exactly sound gourmet, but once you get a taste of Crew\u2019s Farfalle Pesto or Fusilli Alfredo, I promise your mouth will salivate for days following the experience.

When I\u2019m especially drunk, I simply don\u2019t choose between getting pasta or a sandwich. Regrets are for the morning, fools, I get both. Crew Hut also serves salads and pizza btw.

Judging from the size of the usual crowd swarmed around Crew Hut\u2019s window, everyone in Mar Mikhael has fallen into this regular routine of drinking at Floyd<\/a>, Radio<\/a> or Internazionale<\/a> and then joining the hordes that flock like zombies to this food haven.<\/big>

Honestly, its gotten to the point where I\u2019m not sure if we are going to Mar Mikhael to drink or to eat Crew Hut.

Crew Hut recently opened up a new branch in Hamra. This may be problematic, but let\u2019s not talk about that. Instead, let me just say that I went there a few days ago and I was a little perplexed by how little business the place had. So, I\u2019m calling on all Hamra residents to wake the f*ck up. You simply don’t know what you’re missing.

The thing is, the food isn\u2019t even expensive, especially for Beirut. With sandwich prices ranging between 5,000 LL and 15,000 LL and pasta between 8,000 LL and 15,000 LL, there is something for everyone\u2019s budget. And for the unique gourmet quality from a street vendor, the price is more than acceptable.
