While you can do zakat whenever, most people do it during Ramadan because it is a month of reflection, doing good things, and helping others. <br \/>  <br \/>  With Ramadan soon coming to an end, we thought we\u2019d share with you a few ways you can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. <\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b><Big><big>1. ShareTheMeal app<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/47896-1-250x141.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  Image via aljazeera.com<br \/>  <br \/>  <Big>An Arab version of the award-winning app ShareTheMeal was launched at the beginning of this holy month, allowing users to feed a Syrian refugee child for a day at the touch of a button. The current campaign is aimed at feeding 1,400 Syrian refugee children between the ages of three and four in Beirut for a full year. Every time a user donates a meal, paid via debit or credit card, or by Paypal, the money goes towards electronic vouchers for Syrian refugee families, which they can then use at certain shops across the county. <br \/>  <br \/>  You can learn more <a href=\"https:\/\/sharethemeal.org\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b><Big><big>2. PCRF Ramadan 2016 Campaign: Relief for Syrian Refugees<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/47896-2.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <br \/>  <big>The Palestine Children\u2019s Relief Fund (PCRF) also launched its annual campaign on June 5 for the month of Ramadan, with a special focus on Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, and Gaza. Their goal is to raise $100,000 from private donations by the end of Ramadan, with plans to provide family sponsorship to those in Gaza and medical aid to those located in Jordan and Lebanon. As hospitals in Jordan and Lebanon will not treat refugee children for free, the PCRF will be partially relying on funds raised during the Ramadan 2016 campaign to cover medical expenses. <br \/>  <br \/>  To support the campaign, you can make a donation during Ramadan by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcrf.net\/ramadan2016\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b><Big><big>3. \u2018Make a Difference\u2019 Ramadan Campaign<\/b><\/big><\/big><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/47896-250x224.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  Image via executive-bulletin.com<br \/>  <br \/>  <big>Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail, and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, launched its 10th annual \u2018Make a Difference\u2019 Ramadan Campaign this month, encouraging local communities to donate a selection of items at its many destinations and Carrefour stores to help families in need. The special donation boxes have been placed in convenient locations around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/23342\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Beirut City Center<\/a>, and visitors are encouraged to donate everyday essentials such as books, clothes, food, toys, and electronics. <\/big>    <figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped
