Yes, winter is coming. But what\u2019s also coming is a whole bunch of things we despise, other than just the freezing climate. Here are the eight things we surely don\u2019t look forward to this winter.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/49297.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  Image via now.mmedia.me<\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>1. Flu season<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/6YL2Xku1u3neo\/giphy.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>Constant coughing, tissues piling up in garbage bins, and red-nosed zombies everywhere. During this period, we strongly recommend that you avoid physical contact with people. Even if you keep your hands to yourselves, you\u2019re never really safe from the flu. You can run but you can\u2019t hide.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>2. Unexplainable traffic<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brandsynario.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/anigif_enhanced-20101-1411430039-1.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>One drop of rain mysteriously causes traffic jam. It\u2019s like people park their cars and start panicking when it starts to rain. In addition, right around Christmastime, roads everywhere become completely jammed since every Lebanese that owns a car is out and about.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>3. Sprinting under the rain<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/jMtkmpbd6gLw4\/giphy.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  \u2028<Big>As healthy and romantic this sounds, it\u2019s not really a fun thing to do. We all have to, at some point, sprint from where we parked our car to our destination under the rain. Try keeping an emergency umbrella with you at all times. <\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>4. All rooftop and outdoor bars close<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.tumblr.com\/cb8556ad8ab22c6decbdae5508ba6326\/tumblr_inline_mx58f2Syrx1s1ggck.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>Be ready to get back to the limited number of places you can get wasted in. Forget all the rooftop parties and beach bars you probably over-frequented this summer, it\u2019s back to being packed like sardines in a poorly ventilated space.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>5. The dark mornings<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/m.popkey.co\/f56f93\/b0llo.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>As if waking up super early wasn\u2019t bad enough, prepare yourself for waking up to dark and depressing mornings. It\u2019s like the sun in your soul also disappeared. <\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>6. Car accidents<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/66.media.tumblr.com\/7724229ddb41a3b7a4541ecfc9d71371\/tumblr_inline_ndja0vRM7v1s84xw5.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <Big>The combination of rain and Lebanon\u2019s poor infrastructure generates a serious safety hazard, so you better be careful while driving to avoid your car slipping. Avoiding <i>Fast and Furious<\/i>-like races on the highway is also advisable (even after winter is over). <\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>7. The squeaking of windshield wipers<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reactiongifs.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/make_it_stop_boy_meets_world.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>You\u2019ll have to raise the volume level to avoid hearing the squeaking sound of wipers when it\u2019s raining. Keep calm and breathe, you\u2019ll eventually get used to the irritating sound.<\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <b><big><big>8. The Faraya craze<\/b><\/big><\/big><\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/Ftz07proVX6Rq\/giphy.gif\"width=\"100%\"><\/p>\n<p>  <big>Brace yourselves for yet another round of the \u201cFaghayya\u201d fad. This winter, let\u2019s all agree to donate $1 every time a picture is posted in Faraya (with the location Faraya clearly indicated, of course) to the Children Cancer Center, that way we can help
