But let\u2019s get this straight: they sometimes have annoying phrases and useless questions that drive me crazy. I’m not here to trash the profession, as I feel that good service and a pleasant server makes a restaurant experience, but there are some things I just wouldn\u2019t want my waiter to say. <\/big><\/p>\n
1. \u201cWe have a low calorie version of that\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
Hello. Did I even ask you about lighter options? Or did my love handles inspire you to just pop the question and you assumed I wanted to lose weight? <\/big><\/p>\n
2.\u201cI forgot to tell you we ran out of this item today\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I get that restaurants run out of things, it happens. But this information should be relayed as the menu is handed to the customer, not when I am actually ordering and already dreaming of the crispy escalope. <\/big><\/p>\n
3. \u201cOh, are you waiting for the others to start?\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
This usually happens when half the orders are served and you are still waiting for the other half. I mean, you work in hospitality so the least you could do to start with is make sure that all the meals are served simultaneously, and not sound surprised about good manners. <\/big> <\/p>\n
4. \u201cCan you finish that?\u201d or \u201cDid you save room for dessert?\u201d <\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like asking if my stomach can handle all the food I\u2019m ordering, \u201cIs it stretched to capacity yet or do you want to put some fondant on top of it?” <\/big><\/p>\n
5. \u201cIt\u2019s only a soft drink!\u201d when spilling the glass over me<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
Okay, accidents happen! But please don\u2019t make it sound like I should be thankful that it\u2019s not red wine you\u2019re showering me with. <\/big><\/p>\n
6. \u201cAre you sure you don\u2019t want to try our glazed salmon with a side of double cheeseburger?\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n

Stop shaming me into ordering food when I\u2019m only here to order drinks, I didn\u2019t do anything that\u2019s illegal or wrong. <\/big><\/p>\n
7. \u201cI insist you try the Bloody Mary instead of the Gin and Tonic\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
I hate vodka AND tomato juice, should I share with you my whole personal story to convince you of that, or could I just have what I ordered. <\/big><\/p>\n
8. \u201cAre you all done with that?\u201d<\/big><\/big><\/b><\/p>\n
