Luckily, we\u2019ve put together a selection of some highlights this season.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <B>1. Check out a local gig<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Farka.beirut%2Fphotos%2Fa.1669374816700625.1073741831.1662918024012971%2F1707651996206240%2F%3Ftype%3D3&#038;width=700\" width=\"700\" height=\"623\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe>  <br \/>  Chances are you know veterans like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/20042\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Radio Beirut <\/a> and <a href=\"<URL>&#8221; target=&#8221;_new&#8221;>Onomotopiea<\/a>, which host regular musical acts, from reggae and funk to tribal and rock music. You\u2019ll find no shortage of local acts to last you an entire summer in Beirut. You\u2019ll also want to keep track of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/52028\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">AR_KA,<\/a> a space right above <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/34991\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Smoking Bun<\/a> in Mar Mkhayel which hosts regular Living Room Sessions, among other music events.<br \/>  <br \/>  For a more mysterious affair, sign up to Sofar Sounds to find out about secret gigs around Beirut every few weeks. They\u2019ll email you the location a few hours before the show, where you\u2019ll find an intimate setup with twinkle lights and great music. Past shows include local artists like Chyno, Postcards, Alko B, and Charlie Rayne.<br \/>  <br \/>  In the mood for something bigger? Go to a music festival. This year, catch Mashrou Leila at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/51938\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Ehdeniyat <\/a><br \/>  or Milky Chance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/51659\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Byblos International Festival.<\/a><br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>2. Learn a little something<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  Why not take this downtime to learn something new? Take advantage of the many workshops offered this summer, as Beirut\u2019s local art scene is brimming with talent. Sick of a lack of aesthetically pleasing Arabic fonts online? Why not learn how to \u201cLiberate Arabic\u201d at this talk at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/47718\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Dar El-Nimer?<\/a> Or perhaps you just want to figure out a simple sketch. If so, put some perspective and depth into your drawings at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/1399\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">T-Marbouta<\/a> this month. <br \/>  <br \/>  And how about something practical for your creative ventures? Learn how to brand your work, whether you\u2019re just starting out or want to attract more freelance jobs.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>3. Unwind<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338-1.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  Why not try some paint therapy for a good cause? Art Therapy for Mental Illness is hosting a session to raise awareness about mental illness at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/4203\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Beirut Souks<\/a> this summer. <br \/>  <br \/>  Or, head to a storytelling event this summer to hear some tales or even tell your own. You can make it out to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/44599\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Sursock Museum<\/a> for a night of storytelling about the role of stories in our lives (a little meta, but still cool) or even this<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>4. Hungry? Thirsty? Indulge!<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338-2.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  Look no further. This year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/47655\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Souk el Akel<\/a> is hopping around Lebanon to mix great food with scenery, including Broumana, Faraya, Anfeh, and even camping in Tannourine (among other areas). Feeling like a drink? Whether it\u2019s beer you like, or a fancy cocktail, there\u2019s a festival for you. Check out Ehden beer festival or Jounieh\u2019s cocktail festival.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>5. Embrace the outdoors<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fhikemen1%2Fposts%2F1339245619478253%3A0&#038;width=700\" width=\"700\" height=\"623\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe>  <br \/>  <br \/>  Is there anything better than sitting on a hammock? Maybe. But why not head to Hammocks \u2019N Chill in Beit Meri for a relaxing weekend outdoors anyway. If you\u2019re feeling like something a little more purposeful, try the Chouf Yoga Festival in Beit El Qamar at the end of the month. <br \/>  <br \/>  Also, if you feel like an action-packed day in the nature, take a hike up to the Baakline showers, enjoy a relaxing day in the lake, and then end the day at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/52040\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Campobar<\/a>, where you can enjoy a drink and camp out under the stars. Want to take it up a notch? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EhdenMountainsActivities\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Ehden Mountain Activities<\/a> offers the coolest activities from zip-lining to sky-walking, and various other different extreme sports recreations for a crazy adrenaline rush. <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>6. Watch a film<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338-3.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  Clear summer weather also means you\u2019ll want to be outside. The outdoor movie cycle \u201cBackstroke\u201d by Metropolis Cinema and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/25585\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">The Garten<\/a> will scratch that itch this season. The next film playing is \u201cA Bigger Splash,\u201d directed by Luca Guadagnino, and follows the story of a famous rockstar and filmmaker who experience disruptions during a vacation. If you\u2019d like to have your dog join you, there\u2019s also an outdoor screening taking place at sunset at the Beach House in Okaibe where the film \u201cHotel for Dogs\u201d will be screened.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>8. Explore art<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338-4.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  A city full of artists means exhibitions and installations galore.<br \/>  This July 25 exhibition at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/50508\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Space27<\/a> uses image-based experimentation as a way to discuss gender, while this Beirut Art Center exhibition questions the role of photography in power relations. You can also head to the Sole Insight Summer Exhibition on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/11291\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Vendome stairs<\/a> in Achrafieh to see the latest installment of the open art gallery running all summer. <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>9. Also if you&#8217;re feeling a bit nostalgic, head down to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pinkhennabeirut\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Pink Henna<\/a> for the coolest vintage items for unbelievably great prices!<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>10. Dance! <\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/52338-5.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  What better time to dance than summertime in Beirut? You know the usual suspects, like the Garten, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/54\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">BO-18,<\/a> and the quintessential summer spot, Decks on the Beach at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/1304\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Sporting.<\/a><br \/>  <br \/>  Then there are the lower-key spots, places like Beirut Groove Collective which have their weekly All-Nighter editions and new kid on the block, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/51746\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Pool D\u2019etat, <\/a>which is hosting pool parties this summer,
