Next time you&#8217;re feeling drained, here are a couple of places within the city for you to unplug.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>Mar Mikhael Steps<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/53776-2-250x179.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <small><i>image via greenprophet.com<\/i><\/small><br \/>  <br \/>  If you\u2019re a local in Beirut, you\u2019ve more than likely stumbled upon the extremely artistic corners of Mar Mikhael, and maybe even sat on the large staircases that are painted with a variety of colors and patterns. We\u2019ve witnessed people rap battle, enjoy ice cream, and jog up and down these famous steps. However, our absolute favorite use is having the empty staircase to ourselves so simply read or collect our thoughts.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>AUB Benches<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/53776-1-250x163.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <small><i>image via outlookaub.com<\/i><\/small><br \/>  <br \/>  If you find a way to kindly shoo AUB\u2019s million cats off the benches, you\u2019ll notice you can actually sit with your back to the campus\u2019s distractions, taking in the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, and meditating.  <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>Waterfront<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/53776-250x188.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <small><i>image via lebanoninapicture.com<\/i><\/small><br \/>  <br \/>  You\u2019re probably thinking that Waterfront has now gotten just as crowded as Manara or better yet, Remlet el Bayda, but we beg to differ. Sure, you\u2019ll find a lot of families passing time, kids biking and shouting, and joggers minding their own business, but have you tried an early morning jog? Trust us, the sunrise is so worth swearing off the snooze button. <br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>Sanayeh Garden<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/53776-3.png\" width=\"100%\"><br \/>  <small><i>image via tripadvisor.com<\/i><\/small><br \/>   <br \/>  After its recent renovation, the Sanayeh garden hasn\u2019t only been a site for commercials and photo shoots, but a place where one can enjoy a relaxing stroll, a good read, or some quiet alone time.
