In a place so rampant with aggression, we’ve managed to come up with some expressions to get us out of trouble every single time, here are a few.

 1. Ma la7 zagher 3a2le

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media1.tenor.com/images/6b38b799d52aa5dd6f12fd3c49d70d94/tenor.gif?itemid=3561126"width="100%">

 If your opponent is ripped and you know that you have no chance of survival against them, just start walking away and muttering this. It works every single time, and somehow convinces you that you’re actually mature and not scared to death.

 2. Bta3ref ma3 meen 3am te7ke?

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media1.tenor.com/images/69e64ee8eba8c028ccd76f0e980569b6/tenor.gif?itemid=5527560"width="100%">

 The ld reliable, often heard at the hajez or in line for a club, this is exclusively said by people who have no connections whatsoever. It’s sure to have an effect every time, though.

 3. Ma bade inbala feek

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media3.giphy.com/media/38fblIIrHLMPe/200_d.gif"width="100%">

 Another tactic is to pretend to be so tough that you are not only ready for the fight, but you’re even sure that you will completely obliterate the other person but you just can’t be bothered with facing the consequences of your actions, so you’re sparing them. Sure.

 4. Ma wa2tak hala2

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media1.tenor.com/images/3b056750282215e9786b4d228f83fbc3/tenor.gif?itemid=3550571"width="100%">

 In today’s heavy schedules of work and studying and whatever else stresses you out, who has the time for a fight?! Ugh, maybe next time you can schedule in a mashkal.

 5. Ma t5aleene de2 lal…

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media.giphy.com/media/26yxHKwmJDML9Yfio/giphy.gif"width="100%">

 This changes from area to area, because you must always choose whatever “hezeb” you’re going to threaten your opponent with accordingly. Also, don’t pick one that you can tell your opponent is against because it will have the opposite effect, if anything.

 6. 7amere2lak yeha hal marra

 <img decoding="async" src="https://media1.giphy.com/media/xT8qBn6VDSfcsmDvCE/giphy.gif"width="100%">

 This is perfect because it frames you as the merciful and kind forgiver of sins, forgetter of mistakes, and your opponent as the grateful sinner who will repent.
