Get a group of volunteers and move around Lebanon one beach at a time and pick up the trash.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, nobody responded. <\/p>\n<p>So again, anyone want to start this with me?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 R.K (@leb_obs) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/leb_obs\/status\/1016571215895519232?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 10, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>  <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>  And one retweet after another, the Green Environment Movement (GEM) was born.<\/p>\n<p>  A group of young people who met on Twitter have been volunteering to clean up Lebanese beaches. Starting with only seven volunteers, they\u2019ve managed to pick up more than a ton of trash in just three weeks. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve picked up more than a ton of trash in just 3 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Can we get a ton of followers to encourage us to keep this initiative going?<\/p>\n<p>RT for 1,000 charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>  So far, the GEMS have cleaned up Batroun, Amchit Boulevard, and Kfaraabida, and plan to expand their campaign to Tyre and other beaches as well. <\/p>\n<p>  To solidify their efforts, the GEMS sort the trash they collect on spot and send it to the Cedar Environmental Recycling Plant. <\/p>\n<p>  The growing movement welcomes volunteers and assistance as well, in terms of transportation, logistics, and cleaning items. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019re looking for kind and generous people to provide our volunteers the following list of things for Sunday\u2019s cleanup:<\/p>\n<p>1- Reusable gloves (40-50)<br \/>2- Reusable bags (80-100)<br \/>3- first aid kit<br \/>4- Hand gel
