Referring to the GSC as a \u201cSex Club\u201d, the Mufti&#8217;s statement portrayed the event as encouraging what he deemed to be &#8220;unnatural sex&#8221; and claimed it is \u201ca disgrace to Lebanon and the Lebanese,\u201d accusing it of promoting immorality.<br \/>  <br \/>  Media coverage of the incident has also been problematic, with news outlets prioritizing clicks over objectivity. Sidelining the club\u2019s input, the media only emphasized the Mufti\u2019s stand and his \u201cwarning of divine destruction to Lebanon.\u201d The media also did not shy away from perpetuating the idea that the club is called the &#8220;Sex Club&#8221;. <br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.gifer.com\/9kEJ.gif\"width=\"60%\"><br \/>  <br \/>  Meanwhile, the GSC took to Facebook to explain that the event had been cancelled, not in compliance to the unreasonable outrage, but simply for ensuring the safety and well-being of students and members. <br \/>  <br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fgscaub%2Fposts%2F1047801828725971&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"291\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe>  <br \/>  <br \/>  Dean of Student Affairs, Talal Nizameddin, tweeted a message of support in regards to the club\u2019s decision \u201cin light of the sad incitement and misinformation campaign they faced.\u201d<br \/>  <br \/>  <blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-lang=\"en\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The club will be releasing a statement especially as they have the best interest of their members at hand in light of the sad incitement and misinformation campaign they faced.
