Kind Of&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"Let me preface this by saying it\u2019s actually <B>$167<\/b> per person when you tack on tax.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  I visited the new omakase spot <B><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/57381\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Mayha<\/a><\/b> in Mar Mikhael last night with three of my nearest and dearest. Omakase is a Japanese tradition of letting the chef take the lead and make whatever he feels like for you.<br \/>  <br \/>  When we reserved, we were asked if we had any allergies and had our credit card details recorded because they have a strict (50%) penalty if you fail to cancel before 24-hours. We were a party of four and I wasn\u2019t about to lose out on $300 so I\u2019ll take this opportunity to apologize to my friends for harassing them during the days leading up to dinner, \u201c<I>but like\u2026you\u2019re SURE you\u2019re coming?<\/i>\u201d<br \/>  <br \/>  Mayha seats 12 people around chef Dawid Uszynski table. It\u2019s quiet and uncomfortable at first, but the staff is friendly and helps set the tone.<br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BuHbY2lAFKm\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  We started with a small\u2026(smooool) cup of broth soup which was delicious and the courses rolled along over the next two hours:<B> squid topped with osetra caviar, tuna with herbs, three slivers of fish cooked in broth, around an inch block of 48-day dry aged heavenly melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef topped with (I think) horseradish, a hearty egg and seafood stew, three pieces of sushi, and a scoop of rose flavored ice cream<\/B>.<br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BtlYYo7AK1a\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BtlZHYcg3hG\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  The food is exceptional, very nicely prepared and of incredible quality. Though we were nowhere near stuffed and there were many jokes about <i>shou wein bedna net3asha?<\/i> it was a great experience and a good opportunity for us to definitely not over eat. <br \/>  <br \/>  The bill ended up being around $200 a person because of our bottle of sake. <br \/>  <br \/>  I\u2019m not a food critic and I didn\u2019t take photos because my phone is having a bad hair day (grossly broken).
