It plays hard to get<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BPqJyhYBaTk\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  What do you mean I can\u2019t just freely take a stroll in <i>sahet el nejmeh<\/i> without being questioned or weirdly looked at? There&#8217;s always the risk of being pushed away.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>2. The city is a bad boy <\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  Once the city shows you a sweeter side, like a ride with no traffic, crazy bumps, or fearful <i>jouwar<\/i>, you secretly miss the sweet agony of being stuck in the same spot for 30 minutes.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>3. The city doesn\u2019t take any hints<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bjh-MVCnvs0\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  No matter how many Ramlet El Bayda beach cleanups you partake in, you\u2019ll always head back to your car to find it with a parking ticket (even though you triple-checked that you can park here). And, that is, a better scenario than coming back to a car that was marvelous hit by a rock from the <i>warshe<\/i> facing it.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>4. Beirut treats you like an option<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BCFmn5CGBBB\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  Even if you&#8217;re unemployed and dying, Beirut doesn\u2019t give a fuck about you. It&#8217;s like you\u2019ll never be their priority but you can still enjoy that new Jal El Dib bridge or the Horsh Beirut grass \u2018cause there\u2019s that.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>5. The city likes the attention- but doesn\u2019t give it back<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BmJk659hTXc\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  Yes, you painted the Mar Mikhael stairs once with great enthusiasm, but that resulted in you tripping on the stairs days before your <i>daman<\/i> was finalized.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>6. The city is only interested in booty calls<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  The only time you&#8217;re thankful that you live in Beirut is at 3 AM when you&#8217;re crazy hungry and your neighboring furn is still open. Time to drool over that cheese man2oushe!<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>7. The city will never text you first<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  It&#8217;s a grand surprise when you find out that you have extra fees to pay for that mecanique overdue date or that <i>iskan<\/i> loan. What happened to reminding me guys!<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>8. The city will never get jealous of you leaving<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bv_92rDAMc2\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  Beirut will not blink twice or even bid you farewell if you move to Dubai or New York for a better life, let alone stop you at the airport and beg you to stay! Ouch.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>9. The city flirts with everybody<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  Beirut is extra flirtatious with foreigners that instantly fall in love with her. She plays all her moves with those cute tourists. We&#8217;re talking lahm b3ajin, parties, endless hummus supplies and war bunkers-turned-club outings, she\u2019ll have them under her tight grip.<br \/>  <br \/>  <br \/>  <b>10. The city ghosts you, hard<\/b><br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\"
