We have seen the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/59852\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\"> Bristol Hotel, <\/a> \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/59987\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Balthus restaurant,<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/l\/60035\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Dar Bistro &#038; Books<\/a> each close their doors, and one of the most recent victims of this hard-hitting reality is TSP.<br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CCDCCV3Jcf2\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  In a heartbreaking Instagram post, the owner and managing partner of the restaurant, cafe, and local goods shop said, <br \/>  <br \/>  <iframe title=\"Embedded Instagram Post\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"532\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CCpqLxVpMHF\/embed\/\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"background: white; max-width: 540px; width: calc(100% - 2px); border-radius: 3px; border: 1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219); box-shadow: none; display: block; margin: 12px 0px 12px !important; min-width: 326px; padding: 0px;\"><\/iframe><br \/>  \u201cThe Sage Parlour will be closing its doors indefinitely come Wednesday 15th. <br \/>  \u2063<br \/>  In the span of a little over two years and a half we\u2019ve cracked 69,438 eggs, shown 26 local artists\u2019 work, sold local products, hosted countless pop-ups, unions and baby announcements, becoming a part of the community I have a fervent love for. (Allow me these helpful, happy remembrances as I make this announcement.)\u2063<br \/>  \u2063<br \/>  With the advent of a most righteous revolution, the pandemic\u2019s recent lockdown, and most importantly, the current state of the Lebanese Lira, it is inevitable that we search for a new venue for the parlour to thrive. Our every effort to keep our entire team on, sustain everyones\u2019 pay, replace imported ingredients with locally-sourced options, increase our prices and attempt to negotiate on the currency front have been in vain as the turbulent economic forecast has begun to envelope the country. \u2063<br \/>  \u2063<br \/>  Now at the risk of sounding eagerly optimistic: what goes down must come up, and we expect to see you on the other side of these circumstances, sooner rather than later \u2013 so watch this space.\u2063<br \/>  \u2063<br \/>  My fellow small-business owners, starter-uppers and dreamers, true grit also involves knowing when it is time to take a step back even if it is only to re-evaluate your footing.
