The <i>na3oomeh<\/i> was the best sweet treat, even when it made you choke.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576069989914-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  2. The <i>sa7beh<\/i> is another treat! Karabeej cream sandwiched between two biscuits, and if you were, lucky you&#8217;d find a Franc in there. <\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576071386746-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  3. You had kaak and milk for breakfast on most days before school.<\/p>\n<p>  4. Instead of Pepsi, you used to enjoy Jalloul tamarind. <\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576152507631-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  5. Every mother had her own sewing machine, and it was a fixture in the home.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576071684615-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  6. A turpentine\/oil salesman would come around on a horse and ring his bell. <\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576071468523-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  7. Your favorite time was 4 PM, when you could watch cartoons on Tele Liban.<\/p>\n<p>  8. And Casper and Mickey Mouse were the only shows they aired.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576071553729-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  9. Candied apples were a favorite.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576071203162-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  10. You still remember the sound of the kerosene stoves.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576152694704-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  11. When <i>Sound of Music<\/i> hit the theaters, you watched it around 100 times.<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image1576153039723-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>  12. Every school trip was either to Anjar or Baalbak.<\/p>\n<p>  13. Your all time favorite game was hopscotch!<\/p>\n<p>  14. Going out after sunset was DEFINITELY not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>  15. Your parents would listen to Oum Kulthoom, and you&#8217;d beg them not to repeat the track.<\/p>\n<p>  17.
