The article has been changed to reflect that. <br \/>  <br \/>  Another day, another racist parliamentarian. <br \/>  <br \/>  MP Georges Atallah of the &#8220;Lubnan al Qawi&#8221; bloc of Free Patriotic Movement has submitted a proposal for a law that excludes the non-Lebanese families of the victims of the August 4 explosion from the state&#8217;s compensation plan. <br \/>  <br \/>    <blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"ar\" dir=\"rtl\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D8%B5%D8%AF_%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D8%B1%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#<\/a><br><br>.<br>1\/5<\/p>\u2014 Legal Agenda (@Legal_Agenda) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Legal_Agenda\/status\/1410172648282275841?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 30, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>  <br \/>  <br \/>  Atallah argued that non-Lebanese are supposed to have life insurance that their families can benefit from. <br \/>  <br \/>  Out of the 220 victims who were murdered on August 4, 51 of them were not Lebanese with 30 being Syrian, 8 being Bangladeshi and Ethiopian, several Europeans, and one Palestinian.   <br \/>  <br \/>  This disgraceful law is embarrassing for any Lebanese person who is not racist. Human lives were lost regardless of nationalities. We sincerely hope this law is blocked.
