{"id":63014,"date":"2022-01-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/63014\/lau-to-launch-bus-shuttle-service-by-end-of-january"},"modified":"2023-08-29T15:48:38","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T15:48:38","slug":"lau-to-launch-bus-shuttle-service-by-end-of-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/en\/63014\/lau-to-launch-bus-shuttle-service-by-end-of-january\/","title":{"rendered":"LAU To Launch Bus Shuttle Service By End Of January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a recent email sent to students and faculty, LAU&#8217;s Shuttle Planning Working Group shared the university&#8217;s plans to launch a system of transportation that will connect both LAU campuses with Sidon, Tripoli, Mount Lebanon, and Keserwan regions.<\/p> <p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/63014.png\"><\/p> <p>With two current lines in operation, the university will include an additional six lines:<\/p> <p>Line 1: Sidon-Damour-Khaldeh-LAU Beirut<\/p> <p>Line 2: Aley-Fayadieh-Hazmieh-Adlieh-LAU Beirut<\/p> <p>Line 3: LAU Byblos-Halat-Sahel Alma-Jounieh-Zouk-Dbaye-Antelias-Nahr El Mot-Dora-Adlieh-LAU Beirut<\/p> <p>Line 4: LAU Beirut-Adlieh-Dora-Nahr El Mot-Antelias-Dbayeh-Zouk-Jounieh-Sahel Alma-Halat-LAU Byblos<\/p> <p>Line 5: Hazmieh-Sin El Fil-Jdeideh-Antelias-Dbayeh-Zouk-Jounieh-Sahel Alma-Halate-LAU Byblos<\/p> <p>Line 6: Tripoli-Qalamoun-Chekka-Batroun-Madfoun-Amshit-LAU Byblos<\/p> <p>With punctual schedules of operation, the buses will be GPS-tracked and include WiFi onboard. The university also revealed the subscription fees  for students who wish to benefit from the service:<\/p> <p><b>Route fees per semester (priced at the 8,000LBP rate)<\/b><\/p> <p>Beirut \u2013 Byblos<br> Tripoli &#8211; Byblos<br> Hazmieh &#8211; Byblos<br> Byblos &#8211; Beirut<br> <b>Fee: $1400<\/b><\/p> <p>Sidon \u2013 Beirut<br> Aley \u2013 Beirut<br> <b>Fee: $1800<\/b><\/p> <p><img
