Since 2017, BWFF has been a celebration of women\u2019s success in the film industry, providing local and foreign female filmmakers with an opportunity to showcase their films of all categories, and 2022 is no exception!<\/p>

A varied lineup of movies directed by female creators from Lebanon and other countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Austria, and Switzerland awaits you until March 11 at Grand Cinemas in ABC Dbayeh, and tickets are for free. <\/p>

Following the same format of previous editions, this year\u2019s festival honors theater and TV actress Takla Chamoun<\/a>, the accomplished former Lebanese University graduate who received a Best Actress award for her role in Chakib Khoury\u2019s \u201dMa Youchbeh Kissat Hob\u201d<\/i> at Festival International du Th\u00e9atre de Casablanca, and whose charm on camera got her outstanding features in European and Lebanese films including \u201dUn Homme Perdu\u201d<\/i> in 2007, \u201cRsasa Taycheh\u201d<\/i> in 2010, and \u201cHabbet Loulou\u201d<\/i> in 2013. <\/p>

Chamoun also founded the Lebanese Film Academy \u2013 LFA in collaboration with her husband Tony Frjallah, and was the executive producer of the award winning film \u201cMorine\u201d<\/i>.<\/p>

The awarded actress will also be the president of the Festival\u2019s all-female jury that is divided as follows: <\/p>

– Feature fiction jury: Nada Doumani, Rose Marie Chahine, and Lara Saba.
– Feature documentary jury: Barween Habib, Nil Kural, and Colette Khalaf.
– Short fiction jury: Carmen Bsaibes, Layal M. Rajha, and Nahed Salah.
– Short documentary & animation jury: Farnoosh Samadi, Claudine Kamar, and Cynthia Sawma.
– Short dance films jury: Aline Lahoud, Remie Akl, and Isabelle Zighondi. <\/p>
