A ministry that started off in the arms of a man (Minister Jean Oghassabian) and that was then bestowed upon Mrs. Zaituna Bay herself, Violette Safadi, was deemed to be unimportant by all subsequent cabinets and was therefore cancelled after a mere two seasons.

A post shared by IFPSD (@intlpeacefed)<\/a> on November 4th was declared to be Lebanese Women’s Day<\/a> because as Lebanese women dealt with archaic marital rape laws, the lack of protection against domestic violence, a complete absence of personal status and nationality rights, the child marriage statistics that continue to plague many disenfranchised areas around the country, sexual harassment, trafficking, honor killings, and the like, they thought they should at least get a day wherein one minister sends out a tweet and wears a pin saying “happy womenz day bitchez”.

Oh, he also attended the opening ceremony of JamaloukiCon. Cute pic, bro!
