Located on Sadat Street in Hamra, this shop gets your groove on with its vast selection of classical rock and Arabic\/French limited edition LPs and 45 RPM records for artists and bands including Pink Floyd, Jhonny Cash, Ozzy Ozbourne, Warda, Abdel Halim Hafez, Asmahan, and Jaques Brel. You\u2019ll also find records of your favorite alternative rock bands like Nirvana and Arctic Monkeys as well as modern artists like Eminem and Adele.<\/p>

2. Chico Records<\/a><\/strong>, Hamra<\/h3>

<\/p>

Now operated by Diran Mardinian, this CDs and vinyl paraphernalia store was founded in 1964 by his late father Khatchik Mardinian \u2013 the original \u2018Chico\u2019 who co-founded Zida<\/i> record label with Ziad Rahbani. It houses over 10,000 vinyl records mainly of 60s\/70s rock, jazz, soul, disco music, and eccentric oriental titles that are hard to find elsewhere because they were damaged during the civil war.<\/p>

Badaro\u2019s unique 2-in-1 caf\u00e9-bar and record shop serving customers food and cocktails in addition to a limited selection of carefully selected LPs amassing multiple music genres, from electronic and hip hop, to rock and jazz. Since opening in 2018, Orient Express\u2019s DJ booth has always been open for anyone to come play and set the vibe!<\/p>

4. Darsko Records<\/a>, Bourj Hammoud<\/h3>

<\/p>

Famously known as the co-founder Beirut Groove Collective, Ernesto Chahoud<\/a> – or DJ Spindle \u2013 turned his grandfather\u2019s shoe factory on Maraash Street in Bourj Hammoud into a warehouse for the music records he had been collecting since the age of 13.<\/p>

<\/p>

Chahoud sells vinyl discs for Arabic, Kraut, funk, soul, and jazz music that belong mostly to the 60s and 70s.<\/p>

Roy Hayek\u2019s favorite childhood activity was collecting the Top 10 45\u2019s before he began hunting down vinyl discs from all over the world, particularly France and Germany, ever since he opened his own shop in 1979.<\/p>
