LAU Beirut is a…unique experience. Here are a few things all LAU students can relate to.<\/p>\n
1. The age-old debate between Coffee Van and Latte Art<\/b><\/p>\n
The correct answer is (and always will be) Coffee Van.<\/p>\n
2. But this begs the question – mana2ish 3al upper aw lower?<\/b><\/p>\n
Two different worlds. Very important decision.<\/p>\n
3. Cigarettes? No. iQOS ya bro<\/b><\/p>\n
4. \u201cBro\u201d has most likely become part of your vocabulary<\/b><\/p>\n
If I had a dollar every time I heard someone say \u201cbro\u201d on campus, I\u2019d have enough to solve the dollar crisis.<\/p>\n
5. Upper Gate is a hot spot for COVID<\/b><\/p>\n
Since smoking is no longer prohibited on campus, students camp at upper gate to let off steam. Prepare to mask up. <\/p>\n
6. LAUcrushes<\/b><\/p>\n
Why walk up to your crush and talk to them when LAUcrushes exists?<\/p>\n
P.S. this is sarcasm.<\/p>\n
7. Hanging out on the 5th floor of the student lounge is equivalent to therapy<\/b><\/p>\n
This is where all the cool people hang. The ones that are actually<\/i> cool.<\/p>\n
8. Library silent zones vs. 12th and 13th floors<\/b><\/p>\n
Don’t even think of getting any work done on the 12th or 13th floors.<\/p>\n
9. And you’ll never find a seat so you’ve made friends with the floors<\/b><\/p>\n
You’ll find yourself studying or gossiping between bookshelf isles. <\/p>\n
10. Trying to use the elevator to get to class in BB<\/b><\/p>\n
Ensa, you might as well use the stairs.<\/p>\n
11. The WiFi lagging during registration week<\/b><\/p>\n
The struggle of trying to register for classes when the WiFi connection is slow <\/p>\n
12. Speaking of registration week, add\/drop results in increased levels of stress<\/b><\/p>\n
13. But our heart rates also increase just by walking up the stairs from lower to upper<\/b><\/p>\n
That\u2019s enough working out for the week.<\/p>\n
14. However, can\u2019t imagine the design\u2019s students hike from the Gezairi Building to upper gate<\/b><\/p>\n
My heart goes out to you, design students. <\/p>\n
15. Every day you’ll be wondering which LAU cat is going to be stealing your food this time<\/b><\/p>\n
La2anno you pay tuition for their pleasure, not because you want a degree…<\/p>\n
16. No semester is complete without some upper gate drama<\/b><\/p>\n

21. You know it\u2019s gonna be a good day when upper gate is filled with food stands and music<\/b><\/p>\n
It doesn’t matter what the event is, as long as there’s good food.<\/p>\n
22. The gym buffs showing off their gains after a gym sesh<\/b><\/p>\n
We get it, you lift. <\/p>\n
23. Standing in line for 45+ minutes to get your ID picture taken<\/b><\/p>\n
And it\u2019s not even good.<\/p>\n
24. And you either forget it or you’re carrying too many things to pull it out<\/b> <\/p>\n

25. The only notifications you get are likely emails from Raed Mohsen<\/b><\/p>\n
And those career emails. Lol we know we’re gonna be unemployed, just stop already.<\/p>\n
26. You either dress like it\u2019s Fashion Week or like you just rolled out of bed<\/b><\/p>\n
