1. Deen mawtek:<\/b> Quite literally, “damn your dead relatives!” – this intense phrase is hilarious when spoken by a Zghertewe.<\/p>\n

2. 7a2 Se’Zghertee<\/b>: AKA B 7a2 Saydit Zgharta. Akin to “I swear,” and it is said every few minutes.<\/p>\n

3. Laffeh:<\/b> Sandwich!<\/p>\n

4. Yo2borne rabbak:<\/b> A classic flirt. <\/p>\n

5. Khayyo\/Khayto:<\/b> Brother, sister…and somehow a phrase they use like “man”. <\/p>\n

6. Mawtek, ma32oule:<\/b> Spoken when someone pisses them off. <\/p>\n

7. Ykhaleelee albek:<\/b> “Bless your heart,” said when someone is asking for a favor. <\/p>\n

8. 3ayyou2a:<\/b> A good looking and attractive woman. <\/p>\n

9. Layta saydet Zghartee terda 3a ahlek w troob mawtek:<\/b> This mouthful means, “May Our Lady of Zgharta bless you and your dead relatives’ dirt. Normally used when they want to praise you!<\/p>\n
