Sunday, October 24th saw Lebanon\u2019s first heavy rainfall of the season, an event that brought with it a host of problems. The storm, which unleashed its rains all across Lebanon, left a flood of damage in its wake as the country\u2019s poorly maintained roads and infrastructure bore the brunt of the damage.<\/p>
Most notably, Zouk Mosbeh’s highway was completely flooded, creating chaos for those who found themselves trapped on the road. The high water level engulfed cars on the road, blocking traffic, trapping passengers, and causing multiple accidents. The body of a man who\u2019s car swerved off the highway yesterday was recovered this morning by the Civil Defense. He sadly passed away due to the accident. <\/p>
