Once a grand touristic hotspot, the hotel turned into a spooky attraction following the war. It was previously known for its theater hall and large cinema, but now many rumors about it being haunted float around.<br \/>  <br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D10159714783830497%26set%3Da.10159714779940497%26type%3D3&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>  <br \/>  <br \/>  The hotel&#8217;s owner passed away as the civil war raged on, leaving the hotel abandoned and vulnerable to looters. It is said that many people hid in the hotel at the time, taking shelter from the ongoing battles. <br \/>  <br \/>  If you ever decide to pay the hotel a visit, you\u2019ll be met with an empty yet grand structure. In it you\u2019ll find remnants of what used to be, with broken furniture and pictures of its golden age left behind.<br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/64359.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/64359-1.png\"><br \/>  <br \/>  It is also believed that there was once a fire in the hotel that destroyed luxurious items, important files, and most of its furniture. However, it remains a symbol of what Lebanon once was.<br \/>  <br \/>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" web-share\"><\/iframe>  <br \/>  <br \/>  Locals said that if you go down the staircase that is between the hotel\u2019s two buildings in the north wing, you\u2019ll find a cave and series of tunnels
