Judy Geller from Friends Judy is just like any Lebanese mother out there. She makes sure her guests know excruciating details of your most embarrassing childhood moments. An iconic quote that your Lebanese mom would probably say: One time, I was about to leave Ross to go to the beauty parlor. And he got so upset he took off all his clothes, tucked his willy between his legs and cried out, ”Mommy, I’m a girl. Take me with you.” 2. Skyler White from Breaking Bad We can imagine Skyler as that one fake blonde living in Baabda, and her name is Natalie. She’s lowkey jealous of the Achrafieh moms but tells herself that she’s much better than them. And of course, we know how her husband got rich. *sniff sniff* Do you want to know what other Breaking Bad characters would be like if they were Lebanese? Click here. 3. Gloria from Modern Family Another accurate depiction of every Lebanese mom out there. Gloria is always right, doesn’t know how to send emails, and believes that her family is crazy. Here are some iconic quotes that your Lebanese mom would say as well: “You son of a bitch.” (the equivalent of ya ebn el kalb) “I have all the answers!” 4. Jordan Belfort from The Wolf Of Wall Street Started off dirt poor and rose in the ranks because of some sketchy deals he made on Wall Street, or better yet, ma3 el hezb. He helped make (or steal) millions from citizens just to keep getting richer and richer. His favorite thing to do is give motivational speeches to the people he stole from: “If you want to be rich, never give up.” 5. Regina George from Mean Girls In short, Regina George is Nabih Berri. There is no arguing it. The movie came out in 2004, long enough for the writers to get some inspo from our (still alive) parliament speaker. Berri was also re-elected in 2005. Our theory is the movie was an electoral campaign. A very successful one at that. 6. Cassie Howard from Euphoria You might know a Cassie Howard. I know a Cassie Howard. We all know a Cassie Howard. The rich girl living in Monot who posts artsy Instagram stories and goes to Kampai every other weekend. …but the most Cassie Howard of them was recently called for questioning, arrested, and released. Scoring a politician (or rather politician adjacent) as a sugar daddy didn’t end too well for you, did it? Want to know what your favorite Euphoria characters would be like if they were Lebanese? Click here. 7. Frank Abagnale, Jr. from Catch Me If You Can Frank Abagnale would describe himself as charming, brilliant, creative, and…resourceful. Unfortunately, that made him FBI agent Carl Hanratty’s number one target. The Lebanese version of this iconic movie: the Salame-Ghada Saga. We’re sure part 62738 will be out in theaters sometime soon (bas yseer l dollar 50,000LBP). 8. Saul Goodman from Better Call Saul Saul is the reason that Natalie’s husband didn’t get arrested for his illegal dealings and laundered money. He’s the brains of the whole operation and he keeps Natalie’s son in check (cos he’s going to be taking over soon but he’s not as smart as his dad, unfortunately). 9. Michael Scott from The Office We picture Michael Scott to be a Hazmieh resident, alleged ex-Aouni who got a little too excited during a bank heist and got knocked out by security. Here are the <a href="https://www.beirut.com/l/64543" target="_new
>Lebanese versions of the rest of the cast. 10. Lady Whistledown from Bridgerton Lady Whistledown knows everything about everyone. A walking gossip column if you will. It kind of reminds us of our Lebanese aunties on Sunday family lunches, who insists that she only means well. *continues to share weirdly detailed information nobody asked for about kel wled l jiran* 11.
