According to the legend, a fearsome sea monster had been threatening the land around Raouche. In order to appease him, the locals of the time chose to sacrifice the beautiful princess Andromeda to this vile beast. But before that was set to occur, a new hope was found with the emergence of Perseus, Zeus’ heroic heir.
Bringing with him heads of Medusa, Perseus set out to confront the horrific monster at the coast. During their epic battle, Perseus ended up deploying Medusa’s famed powers to defeat the monster, turning him permanently to stone. The Pigeon Rocks we witness today are said to be the evolution of the monster’s body after years of stone and sea.<\/p>
