The restaurants there are striking a balance between upscale and cool, aiming to attract a younger clientele. <br><\/p>    <p><br><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-the-airport-road-tunnel-is-now-lit\"><strong>2. The Airport Road tunnel is now LIT! <\/strong><\/h3>    <p><\/p>    <div style=\"display:flex;justify-content: center;align-items: center;\">   <div class=\"lozad wp-twitter-embed\" style=\"text-align: center;width:80%;max-width: 100%;\" data-twitter-src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wael333444\/status\/1691535575508017152?s=20\"><\/div>  <\/div>    <p><\/p>    <p>Sing, Hallelujah! That lengthy tunnel from Khaldeh to Beirut is now adequately lit. Long known as the &#8220;death tunnel,&#8221; the road was notorious for accidents and frequent traffic jams. We&#8217;re pleased to share that it hopefully won&#8217;t flood every time it rains by your next visit.<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-most-places-accept-credit-card-again\"><br><strong>3. Most places accept credit card again!<\/strong><\/h3>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/38.media.tumblr.com\/9bc55e87ecf0a94663473e4cafdf312e\/tumblr_nknciq5WiG1tvm489o2_400.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>    <p><strong><br><\/strong><br>Yay. (Granted that it is a &#8216;fresh&#8217; USD account.) All places also accept US Dollars at the parallel market rate, so exchanging money is probably less necessary. And speaking of exchanging money, you&#8217;ll be happy to hear that you no longer have to check the exchange rate twenty times a day to see if you&#8217;re getting a good deal. It is at a static 88,000-89,000 LL per USD. <br><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-valet-is-anywhere-between-300-000-ll-and-600-000-ll\"><strong>5. Valet is anywhere between 300,000 LL and 600,000 LL<\/strong><\/h3>    <p><\/p>    <p>Sometimes, if you&#8217;re lucky, it&#8217;s a &#8220;2ad ma baddik&#8221;. <\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-you-might-see-the-new-100-000-ll-bill\"><strong>6. You might see the new 100,000 LL bill<\/strong><\/h3>    <p><\/p>    <p><\/p>   <div class=\"lazy-load-block-container\"><img style=\"width: auto; height: auto;\" class=\"lazy-load-block\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-07-at-2.27.59-PM.png\" alt=\"New 100,000 Banknote\" \/><\/div>   <p><\/p>    <p>Bearing resemblance to the 1,000 lira, the new 100,000 lira banknote has shrunk significantly, both in size and in value. This new nifty bill fits more easily in your wallet, and is now in circulation.
