She transformed it into a bakery for the displaced, with her son traveling to Saida to secure flour while she prepares the manakish. Sarafand, like many areas in South Lebanon and Beqaa, endures continuous raids.<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p>Umm Ali, like many Lebanese of the older generation, has lived through countless wars. She says she isn\u2019t afraid: \u201cNo, I wasn\u2019t scared. Whoever is destined to die will die, whether at home or outside\u2014it\u2019s the same!\u201d<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-two-manakish-for-twenty\">&#8220;Two manakish for twenty!&#8221;<\/h3>    <p><\/p>    <p>Umm Ali is selling two manakish for just 20,000 LBP, because, as she puts it: &#8220;You have to stand with the poor, not with the rich\u2014with the poor.&#8221;<\/p>    <div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>    <p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#8dd2fc6b;font-size:18px\"><strong>Enjoyed watching Umm Ali prepare manakish for the displaced?
