The proposal raises major concerns about farmers\u2019 rights, the protection of native seeds, and food sovereignty.<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p>According to experts interviewed by <strong>The Legal Agenda<\/strong>, the current draft poses a serious risk to traditional\/local seeds. The core issue lies in how the law defines a \u201cvariety,\u201d relying on DUS criteria (Distinctness, Uniformity, Stability). Giving corporations the upper hand:<br><\/strong>Only hybrid seeds meet DUS standards, which concentrates the market in the hands of large companies and sidelines small farmers and local nurseries.<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p>3. <strong>A blow to food sovereignty:<\/strong><br>A commercial system forces farmers to buy imported seeds every year instead of producing their own.<\/p>    <p><\/p>    <p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7244358bff811b18700ab501c54a044f\"><strong>4.
