Remember when we told you about the Cyprus-Lebanon ferry trips<\/a>? After some delays, they’re finally a reality, and the route is more impressive than we originally thought.<\/p>

Starting June 9th 2026<\/strong>, Cedar Waves will launch Lebanon’s first scheduled ferry service in decades, connecting Jounieh not just to Larnaca, Cyprus, <\/strong>but also to Latakia, Syria <\/strong>and Mersin, Turkey<\/strong>. You can book it right now. Here’s everything you need to know, including the prices, the ports, and what’s changed since we first covered this.<\/p>

Who is Running the Ferry?<\/strong><\/h3>

The service is operated by Cedar Waves<\/strong>, running under the umbrella of Abou Merhi Agency, a Lebanese maritime company known for their cruise trips. Their flagship vessel, also named Cedar Waves, a converted San Marino ship, marks the first direct, scheduled ferry route out of Lebanon in decades.<\/p>

The main route runs between Jounieh Port and Larnaca Port, Cyprus. The crossing clocks in at 3 hours and 59 minutes. That’s faster than the 5 hours originally projected.<\/p>

And the network is bigger than just Cyprus. Cedar Waves also connects to Latakia Port, Syria<\/strong> and Mersin Port, Turkey<\/strong>, making it a mini maritime hub, not just a Lebanon\u2013Cyprus link.<\/p>

Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>

<\/p>

Departures to Cyprus leave Jounieh Port at 9:00 AM<\/strong> Wednesdays and Sundays and 10:00 AM on Fridays, arriving at Larnaca Port at 12:59 PM<\/strong> or an hour later on Fridays(all times in Beirut local time). <\/p>

Trips to Mersin leave at 8:00 AM<\/strong> or 9:00 PM<\/strong>, with the shortest running for 5 hours and 30 minutes, and the longest nearly 12 hours as it includes a layover in Latakia, Syria. <\/p>
