Con\u00e7u par le visionnaire fran\u00e7ais Auguste Perret aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de l&#8217;architecte libanais Antun Tabet, l&#8217;h\u00f4tel est rapidement devenu un aimant pour l&#8217;\u00e9lite mondiale. L&#8217;h\u00f4tel a subi de lourds d\u00e9g\u00e2ts lors de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00ab <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/cities\/2015\/may\/01\/beirut-holiday-inn-civil-war-history-cities-50-buildings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bataille des H\u00f4tels<\/a> \u00bb, sa fa\u00e7ade \u00e9l\u00e9gante marqu\u00e9e par le conflit. Les plans de restauration ont de nouveau \u00e9t\u00e9 interrompus, et le St. Georges semblait destin\u00e9 \u00e0 rester une ombre de son pass\u00e9.<br><\/p>    <p><\/p>    <h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Une nouvelle aube<\/h3>    <p>En 2020, apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9cennies de tracasseries administratives, le St. Georges a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beirut.com\/en\/59493\/24-years-later-st-georges-hotel-gets-license-to-be-rebuilt\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enfin re\u00e7u le feu vert pour sa reconstruction<\/a>.
