1. Al Bustan Festival 2017

What: Arguably Lebanon’s biggest music and arts festival, this year’s theme is ‘Queens and Empresses of the Orient’. The festival is jam-packed with incredible performances like the Quatuor Saxophone Morphing, Sheherazade’s Rimsky Korsakov, and Jacaranda Ensemble. Don’t miss out!

2. Lucy in the Sky Exhibition

What: Influenced by lyrical abstraction, artist Ghassan Zard’s large-scale canvases depict a coloured rhythmic universe reminiscent of music partitions.

3. “Manal” Art Exhibition

What: A unique art exhibition for artist Anas Albraehe and his muse, his neighbor with down-syndrome, Manal. Manal with her many expressions that frequently change like reflections on water, captured the attention of the artist. The show features paintings, film and installations by the artist.

4. ‘The Wait’ by Mohamad Omran

What: A contemporary art show by artist Mohamad Omran, showcasing paintings and sculptures.

5. Kelkon Sawa-كلكن سوا

What: A moving Lebanese play about love, friendship, loss, and the power of memories.

6. ‘May He Rise’ Dance performance by Ali Chahrour

What: “May He Rise” is an interpretive dance performance and a ceremony, where death, in all its primitiveness and violence, emerges from the depth of the earth to become a rite for life. The woman, the mourning priestess, summons the men so that they may experience grief and the pain of loss.
