We Asked 8 Young Women to Style the Same Basic Top and Here’s What Happened

Bored of repeating the same outfit combinations over and over and looking for a pop of style inspiration? We’ve conducted a small fashion experiment to help you reshuffle your closet and reinvent your day-to-day look!

The challenge is simple: we handed the same basic black top with short sheer sleeves from Vero Moda’s latest athleisure collection to eight different style enthusiasts for a couple days and asked each of them to build a complete outfit around it according to their personal taste and style preferences.

Nadine did not hold back with her edgy signature style, tucking the top just above waist to tie in with her distressed jeans and black platform boots, before ultimately throwing a see-though holographic jacket on top to round off her streetstyle statement.

Megan rocked an elegant formal look with an interesting twist, teaming up the top with classic white trousers and black pointy heels and proceeding to spice things up with a playful black-and-white clutch.

Diana kept it simple and summery with a low-waist pleated jeans miniskirt paired with chunky-heeled T-strap sandals, effectively contrasting the dark tones of her outfit with her creamy complexion and shoulder-length blonde locks.
