Refugee Tents Are Falling Apart In The Storm, Here’s How You Can Help
Thousands of refugees across Lebanon are struggling to keep warm and to protect their tents/shelters as the winter storm rages on.
While some refugees are managing to get through the storm thanks to the UNHCR’s efforts and aid, many remain stranded and suffering left to brave the storm with no resources or help.
Houses in Palestinian refugee camps are not equipped to stand such harsh weather conditions, the rain and winds have left many houses destroyed, flooded, and without any power. Additionally, the Syrian refugees living in tents are forced to flee due to the tents becoming uninhabitable.
SAWA for Development and Aid is a volunteer and community led organization working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon, they have opened all their centers as shelters for those in need. You can donate to them here or reach out here and find out how you can volunteer. They provide clothes, heaters, food baskets, tents, fuel for heating, and more.

Individual Assistance
Unfortunately, we see heartbreaking cases on the streets. Children that are not properly clothed begging for food and money in the harshest of conditions. A winter coat or some assistance can go a long way during this unrelenting storm.
