Lebanese Woman Puts Kidney Up For Sale In Desperate Plea For Help

Earlier today, a Lebanese woman was spotted in Riad El Soloh with a poster that reads: “Kidney for sale at a good price. It’s urgent.”

The woman has since been identified as Halima Mouallem, a mother of two whose husband has been detained for about 12 days (there is no other information regarding his detention at this time).

Mouallem has two children: a nine-year-old son who suffers from heart disease, and a two-year-old daughter. She is also responsible for her elderly mother who lives with her. Mouallem said she was unable to keep up with the medical bills for her family and felt desperate enough to try to sell her kidney.

In the video published, Mouallem also shared that she and her family are also facing eviction.

While selling organs is illegal, we thought maybe we could all help Halima in another way. For those of you who want to and can help, you can reach Halima on 03002188 (the phone number on her poster).
