As mental health issues such as depression and anxiety become more prevalent due to the effects of the worsening economic and political situation in Lebanon, the need for channels to help those struggling grows. Just like any physical ailment, not seeking care for mental health issues could be detrimental health. While economically things are challenging, there are a few incredible organizations working to make a difference, check them out and let us know if there are any others for us to include!


1. Idraac


Idraac is offering free mental health consultations for those who cannot afford treatment, you can contact them by calling 76100576.


2. Blue Mission


Blue Mission Organisation are a committed group that aim to help people who are facing hardships and who struggle to cope and heal from traumatic events. At Blue Mission, everyone can get FREE psychological support and therapy provided by a psychologist and a drama therapist. You can book an appointment by calling 07-732636 or 78-965062.


3. International Medical Corps


International Medical Corps routinely host support groups that target different sets of needs, as well as specialized referrals.


4. Embrace


In light of these troubling and stressful times, it’s important to spread awareness on Lebanon’s first mental health crisis and suicide prevention hotline, established by Embrace. The volunteer operators undergo rigorous specialized active listening and suicide risk assessment training.
