After 37 Years On Air, Radio One Shuts Down Due To Economic Situation

Founded in 1983 and responsible for voices we fell in love with (like the beloved Gavin Ford who lives in our hearts), Radio One has been a staple in Lebanese society.

Sadly, today we share that the trying economic situation has reached one of Lebanon’s oldest English radio stations as well, and they will be ceasing production of all shows.

We will miss starting our week with Monday night love songs, getting nostalgic with Radio One Classics, and all the other amazing morning and afternoon shows that kept us entertained and informed.

These times are difficult, and we here at Beirut.com are hoping all our fellow media companies, local businesses, and hidden gems may find the recipe to see it through.
